What are the icons at the bottom for?

Last Updated: Mar 16, 2016 12:20AM EDT
The icons at the bottom left of your screen help you navigate Android, whether you're on the home screen or using an app.

The house icon takes you back to your home screen.

The menu button, which is three dots opposite three horizontal lines, brings up menu uptions for Android.

The left arrow will take you to your previous screen.

The magnifying glass lets you search the web or certain apps you're currently using.

The icons to the right of these signify your notifications. If you have a circle with a green arrow, this is your notification bar, slide it up to reveal your notifications. If you do not have this circle, simply press your finger anywhere to the right of the magnifying glass and slide your finger up.

At the far right, you'll see icons for time, battery level, wifi signal and sound. Apps can also show up here while they're running.
