Can I move or remove the soft buttons on the notification bar?

Last Updated: Mar 16, 2016 12:32AM EDT
Yes, the soft buttons on the notification bar can be removed or moved from the left side of the notification bar to the right side.

If you would like to move the buttons, first click on the menu button from the home screen.

Choose "Settings" and then "CyanogenMod Settings."

Tap "Tablet tweaks."

Now you'll have the option of checking or unchecking the box next to where it says "Soft-buttons left." If you want the soft buttons on the left side of the notification bar make sure the check box is checked. If you'd prefer them on the right, uncheck the box.

You can also remove some of the buttons altogether, only possible for the home button because you can use the "N" Nook button as the home button, the notification bar button because you can simply swipe the notification bar up or down, and the search button (magnifying glass).

To do this, follow the directions above to get to "Tablet tweaks" under "CyanogenMod settings." From here, select "Choose soft-buttons."

On this screen you'll be able to deselect Home, Search and Quick notifications. If you ever want them back you can always follow these instructions to reselect the ones you want.
