Can I hook up a USB keyboard to my device using USB host mode? (Nook Color running Gingerbread only)

Last Updated: Mar 16, 2016 12:27AM EDT
Enabling USB host mode on the Nook Color will allow you to connect certain USB devices, including keyboards. To do this, you will need the Nook Color, your original Nook USB cable, a female-to-female USB adapter, the Nook Color Tweaks app (you can download it from the Market/Play Store) and a USB device you want to plug in.

Once you have all of these required items, first connect the USB device to the Nook USB cable using the female-to-female adapter. However, do not plug it into the Nook yet.

Open Nook Tweaks and tap "USB Settings."

Press the check box for "USB Host mode."

Now plug the USB cable into the Nook. This should provide you with access to your USB device.
